Been seeing this since new install of Linux Mint 20 (2 weeks ago) (Have not noticed on a LM19.3 upgrade on a different machine)
I have been finding several small bugs and wondered if this may have something to do with any of them. I just tried the above fix. I no longer see the error on boot up, but according to dmesg, my boot time has increased by approximately 0.85 seconds. No clue, yet, whether any other processes have been affected. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System: Kernel: 5.4.0-42-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.3.0 Desktop: MATE 1.24.0 wm: marco dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 20 Ulyana base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1835660 Title: initramfs unpacking failed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1835660/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
