Are you serious? :D This bug is three years old, I have no idea what
happened back then. It should be fixed by now since I regularly install
it in VirtualBox.

Okay okay, after some hours investigating, here are my thoughts:
- Still no idea why the audio device was missing at all at the beginning.
Re-appeared, no problems since then.
- I2S sound is working fine in kernel 4.4.
- But the Ubuntu kernel keeps using the CONFIG_ACPI_REV_OVERRIDE_POSSIBLE
So, well. The audio device isn't missing anymore and I have no idea why.
But it looks like Xubuntu 16.04 Beta 1 is using HDA sound by default. I
attached two images. When I cold boot Xubuntu a few times I have two
internal audio devices, one for HDMI and one for 3,5 mm/speaker. After
dual booting

Well I'm sure, that the output of 'dmesg' isn't everything, but my Terminal
doesn't show me more... how can I post the complete output?
And another thing... it works fine now?!? I'm totally confused, because I did
nothing but reboot. But I will let my computer run... maybe it happens again. I

Today I installed Intrepid Ibex (8.10) RC1 (downloaded it last week) and first
updated everything. I'm not fure whether I got still RC1 or the final release,
but then I installed der X.org driver for my ATi graphics card (HD3850). After
that I rebooted and now it works,
