Has reinstalled all packages PostgreSQL-8.3, libpq5, php5-pgsql with removal of
directories
/etc/postgresql
/usr/share/postgresql
And all has earned. It was not simple time to wait. Certainly data I have not
in/var/lib/postgresql. Them has certainly left.
That's all.

установлен сценарий post-installatio
PS. При удалении пакета ddclient, который вроде как не зависим от
Postgres, выдал следующее:
$ sudo aptitude remove ddclient
Следующие пакеты будут УДАЛЕНЫ:
ddclient fgfs-aircraft-base{u} fgfs-base{u} fgfs-models-base{u} libalut0{u}
libapr1-dev{u}
libcoin60{u} libdb4.8-dev{
