Without any change to grub, isn't possible to change the brightness (The
buttons respond but I can only adjust brightness one step down from
maximum setting and back).

this bug affect also me. The system freeze on attempt to pair my phone or
trasfer file.
My bluetooh dongle is: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth
Dongle (HCI mode)
