I installed intrepid from cd, and I set the location in the applet
preferences. Without getting any whether report in the applet.
Afterwards I upgraded to jaunty beta, and the wheather report still is
unavailable.
On the contrary the wheather applet does correctly show the wheather
report.

manager has user:group root:root instead of root:plugdev.
The temporary solution is to issue:

I had that problem upgrading ubuntu, next weeks I'm going to upgrade it
on other similiar pc, I'm going to check whether the problem persists.

I have an edubuntu server with 40 clients, with 4 GB RAM and plenty of
disk space. The cpu is a 2.8 GHz Pentium4.
Already using 30 clients the cpu is saturated, and I see that beagled is
running and eating cputime

When there is the broken link in the trash, selecting all the files in
the trash and hitting del produces nothing but keeping selected only the
broken link.

In evince 0.8.1 when I select the text, only characters different from
the plain one disappear:

I had to upgrade from edgy to feisty my edubuntu server.
At the end of the process I found that the package ltsp-server wasn't
upgraded: I had still edgy version.
Trying to "apt-get dist-upgrade" told be that ltsp-server had been
retained
