Binary package hint: tulip
The tulip binary package segfaults, running kubuntu jaunty on an amd64 box.
I then compiled tulip version 3.2.0 from tar ball, and that runs fine; however
./configure
was complaining about the absence of libGLEW. I fixed that problem by doing a:

I've just been bitten by this bug, using the Hardy Beta Kubuntu "remix" with
KDE4, on an AMD64 (Turion) based laptop.
In /etc/rc2.d, I had:

S24hal
s13kdm
And I needed to do this to get past the problem:
mv S24hal S13hal
mv s13kdm s14kdm

OK, you'll have to do this:
1.) Open the terminal. ( ALT + F2 ) then type in "ccsm".
2.) CompizConfig Settings Manager should pop-out.
3.) Go to "General Options" and then to "Desktop Size".
4.) Change "Horizontal Virtual Size" to 4.
If you've typed in terminal "ccsm" and get error, do this.
