I installed ubuntu 9.04 on my dell inspiron 1210 mini. The best
resolution I can get is 1024x768 and the graphics are very slow and
jumpy especially when using the internet. I am not real familiar with
linux, but it appears like there is no driver for the graphics display.

I have the same problem. On 8.10 scrolling was fine, but after upgrading
to 9.04 it is annoyingly jumpy and slow when scrolling up and down. This
happened on all three of my computers that I upgraded. I have tried
firefox and 3 or 4 other web browsers and the result is the same.
