1) Open two terminals and one of them type gconftool-2 --recursive-unset
/apps/compiz-1
2) On the other run unity --reset
3) On the first opened terminal run ccsm and enable (or re-enable the Unity

I'm using a regularly updated Kubuntu Intrepid system. After the latest update,
which involved kaffeine too, I lost the executable. Package
0.8.7-1ubuntu1~intrepid1 seems to be installed but there is no
/usr/bin/kaffeine as it should.
Removing and reinstalling the package
On the other hand I can access hotmail and the inbox but I can't open
any mail. It's like the links are unclickable. When I point the mouse
over a mail the icon changes to the hand but no matter how many times I
click nothing happens.
This is on Kubuntu Gutsy + KDE 3.5.9

I confirm this behaviour on Kubuntu 7.10 gutsy running KDE 3.5.9.
Power saving settings seem to change by themselves randomly. Also, even
if the time setting is set correctly screen will go blank at most 2-3
times out of 10.

It *almost* works. I assign both keys to maximize explained. When I try to
maximize a window I can see it get bigger but then it instantly turns back to
the size it had before.
Same effect with both key combination.

I confirm this on Kubuntu 7.10. Nicotine worked in Feisty but not in Gutsy.
Though I found a workaround on a debian board.
Try installing package gstreamer0.10-plugins-base (it will also install
liboil0.3 along with it). This solved the problem for me.

I don't know if these can actually help, because after the upgrade tool
crashed, right after the cupsys error, I changed back my apt sources to
feisty and downgraded all that was already installed in order to have a
functional system.
I can't afford doing a fresh install so this upgrade is pretty

Oh, also, I thought of this. If the logs are of no use because of what I said
in the above comment I could retry to reinstall the upgrade (and get the same
error) and backup those files at that time.

I had the same problem. When I hibernated it seemed to just log out of X
and re-login. I also got the not enough swap space (I have 1GB of ram
and just 512MB swap).
Then I installed hibernate package. Now hibernation works flawlessly

I've noticed that amule crashes when closing message tabs too. I suppose
when you close the last one just like the search tabs but I'm not sure
because I discovered this by closing just one message.

It happens to me too running aMule 2.1.3 on Edgy.
Actually the problem is presented when you close the last open tab in
the search results, which is also triggered when pressing the clear
button.
