I'm getting the same results in lynx, it looks like there's something in
Ubuntu 8.04 itself that is causing this. So I'm marking this bug as
invalid for the time being, as I don't think it's a Firefox problem.

Instead of fetching the proper page, the home page is displayed (as if
everything after the ? is removed).
