Thank you very much for pointing to that bug, and indeed it seems to be a
duplicate - using the kernel posted there (2.6.38-9-generic #43+lp736490r1)
worked, at least for me.
I also read that it is already upstream somewhere, so I guess we can expect an
update pretty soon?

but I don't get any screen to work via dvi and the radeon driver. (But with
fglrx it works)
The Screen / TV is recognized correctly (the right resolutions are listed), but
I always get a no-singal from the screen.

Ok sorry, I have to clarify what I just wrote.
Somehow a normal PC screen connected via DVI suddenly works.
But my HDTV connected via a DVI-HDMI cable does not.

Hi
I just tested flash fullscreen with the opensource radeon driver instead of
fglrx and it works like a charm.
For now this is ok, but I am using fglrx for better 3D performance so it is a
bit annoying to switch the drivers every time.
Can somebody tell me how to get more information about
Actually I have noted this, too. But on an Asus X53Ka Notebook with an

Does anyone has a clue why this is specfic to youtube?
Flash fullscreen in general works. Do YouTube fullscreen does not.
But when disabling compiz, youtube works too.

I just upgraded to Maverick and the bug is gone.
Thank you.

Hi.
For me the notification only appears when I reach full brightness and eg. press
the hotkey again or even worse when I hold it down it won't even stop
appearing.
This is very annoying when you try to watch a video.

Extra notification when increasing LCD brightness
I just looked at apci_listen and I saw that for every
video LCDD 0086
hotkey ATKD 001f 00d3
event (which is fired when you press the inc. button and when it is at full
brightness) one notification is triggered.
Hope this helps.
