Public bug reported:
I have on the same drive Windows 10, Ubuntu 15.10 (boot ext4 on
/dev/sda5), and I'm installing another Ubuntu 15.10 (with boot ext4 on
/dev/sda6 and sharing btrfs volume /dev/sda7 [with spans also on

End of installation crashed with grub2 installation.
So, I've doubled checked image is x64, the machine boots in UEFI only,
install device starts in UEFI mode (tried with USB key and DVD), uname

during installation).

Same here (11.10 beta2). Installation crashed (I do not know how to get
the log) just before the end. I initially though everything was actually
OK, but I have a lot of problem with startup scripts.

Yes, same problem with standard kernel.
I have not found the way to add apport information to an existing bug
except from the summary search, but this search fails, saying it's
taking too long. Then I've just created a new bug: # 590896.
Thanks!

Yes, this bug is with Lucid (clean install). But I can no longer

I can also confirm that Rodney's solution works. But - in my case -
either not totally or I'm having another issue: the CPU usage of
underlying kvm process is almost 100%. (Ubuntu 8.10 32bits on AMD 4600+,
and the PC under guest Windows is seen as "normal", so it is - I think -

Definitely. The proposed "solution" would be ideal IMO.

I can confirm this on 7.04 and 7.10beta (for scenario 2). My drive is in
a SATA caddy (SATA2 controller/AHCI). When pluuged, the event shows up
in hal (using 'lshal -m'), but it seems that gnome-volume-manager simply
ignores it. The drive is listed in fstab (based on UID) and if I type in
