Same thing here. Using 9.10 final. Baloons for network activity and
panel lighting appear and disappear in a distracting manner but only go
away for good after a few minutes (5 or more).

I just figured out a procedure to make the sound work again in my hp
laptop. Usually, I use the laptop connected to the power source. If I
shut down, disconnect the power and boot using the battery, Feisty comes
up with sound again. I also verified that booting Vista (on my dual boot
laptop) kills
Same thing here with my hp 2225nr laptop. Sound didn't work, then it
started working misteriously. A few days later, no sound again. I find
myself praying before each boot. It says right there at the top that the
bug "needs more info". What kind of info? What can I do?
