Same thing here. Using 9.10 final. Baloons for network activity and
panel lighting appear and disappear in a distracting manner but only go
away for good after a few minutes (5 or more).

I just figured out a procedure to make the sound work again in my hp
laptop. Usually, I use the laptop connected to the power source. If I
shut down, disconnect the power and boot using the battery, Feisty comes
up with sound again. I also verified that booting Vista (on my dual boot
laptop) kills
Same thing here with my hp 2225nr laptop. Sound didn't work, then it
started working misteriously. A few days later, no sound again. I find
myself praying before each boot. It says right there at the top that the
bug "needs more info". What kind of info? What can I do?

It seems that the alsa drivers shipped with feisty do not work correctly
with Conexant CX20549 audio, A.K.A intel hda or some such. More to the
point, in my HP 2225nr notebook, which uses this chipset, a clean
install of Feisty failed to produce
