I've done further testing.
With smaller images, thus lower radius and iterations/samples, the
problem still arises.
I've done some tests with the "gegl" command line command, and it works
just fine. I can definitely apply the operator with something like:
gegl -p -o /home/estev

Do you have a schroot jail around? What does your /etc/fstab look like?

Since the last kdelib update in edgy, the calendar is no longer
synchronized with my Palm T|X.
Just after the edgy update it was working pretty well. The problem
happend just after the last kdelib update.
In fact, the ICS file is not modified,
$ dpkg -l | grep kdepim
