The issue for me was either the motherboard or cpu. After having
upgraded all other parts at one point or another, I upgraded the cpu and
motherboard and the issue has gone away.

It's not just wireless though. I've had the machine hooked up wired for
the past week and a half and it still happens if I try to use a torrent.
It may have something to do with the number of connections though,
because it is hosting a samba share on the local network and accessing
that doesn't cau

My media server locks and needs to be hard reset after high network
