Me too. Changed mouse, version, computer, ... everything. Finally,
searching revealed I'm not alone (whew). I think it comes from v2.

Affects kubuntu/ubuntu. Same thing on my Dell Inspiron 6400. 2.6.24-19
works fine. Only solution for me is keeping that one until 20 is ready.
