I upgraded from 11.1 to 12.04 there were two warnings for python,
something about libre. Upon reboot everything was going as expected.
When I went to the software center I was shown the 'Package operation
failed..." warning.
No downloads allowed from the softwar
I got this bug after upgrading from 11.10 to 12.04. It occurs everytime
I want to start the Terminal.

I'm still having this issue with a Tyan S2895 motherboard. I'm running
Ibex with latest updates.
I have not tried irqpoll, noprobe=ataX, or pci=nomsi as grub options
yet. I also have not changed any BIOS settings yet either.

What is the reason for this not being fixed on my AMD64 install?

Cryptdisks doesnt start on boot.
Problem: cryptdisks-early and cryptdisks don't complete successfully
I did some bug hunting and found on boot there was an error showing
twice. This is not verbatim, but it was something like

Disabling this is risking instability and loss of data if there are
hardware faults.
This minor "inconvenience" could save someone. Better safe than sorry.
