I have the same problem, my vsftpd don give me access. It worked in
Ubuntu 7.10 but not in 8.04.
It only give access with anonymous login. If i modify conf file removing
anonymous login and give local access fail!!

I have a similar pc and the same problem, i worked perfect on Edgy, the
problem comes with the update to festy... the volume output level is
very low ... i could guess that at least 15% of the total output in Ed
