I'm seeing the same behaviour in Karmic. Network plasmoid shows negative values, while Gkrellm shows correct values for the network. It works properly after a reboot, but at some point (not sure when) it goes haywire and stays that way (even after suspend to ram and hibernate) until rebooted. --
