[Bug 1448371] Re: package udev 219-7ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: le sous-processus script post-installation installé a retourné une erreur de sortie d'état 1

Figured it out - removed PostgreSQL 9.3 and then deleted the input group. Ran the process again and udev installs without issue. Seems insserv was causing monit and PostgreSQL 9.3 to conflict and that prevented udev from installation in addition to the inout group already existing. -- You receive

Running sudo sed -i '1 s/$/x/' /var/lib/dpkg/info/udev.postinst produced no output for me. Running sudo dpkg-reconfigure udev produces the message: /usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: udev is broken or not fully installed The one proposed answer on the forums did nothing to resolve the issue sadly. --

Any chance of this getting corrected in future releases? Always have to go back and recall why it doesn't work out of the box and spend cycles looking for the "yes, it is still broken" message here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed

[Bug 607311] Re: mount.cifs fails with "cannot allocate memory"

You're not being dumb - my mistake. I managed to find the issue locally. The two are unrelated as the issue actually traced down to a misconfigured share in AD and not the same issue as above. Call this one a "mea culpa" - and never mind the report. -- mount.cifs fails with "cannot allocate memor
