Scott James Remnant has posted something you can take it to the bank. That is

a plain fact. He has explained here why plymouth is having trouble because
loading graphic drivers
before you mount is having some troub
I keep 2 lucids and used #2 fix on one of them and it starts my plymouth before
X everytime.
Boot time is quick enough for me. Do not really see any difference.

If works close all and open from GUI. If she locks up and you
have to force kill you got something wrong. Really should not
