Every now and then I like to watch this video, so I really needed

Same problem.
There is a problem with the configuration server
(/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)
Does not seem to effect computer usage. After clicking on Close the
graphic interface comes up and everything appears to work.
Got this bug when I upgraded from 8.04

Before trying plan B, I did a find / -name flashplugin-nonfree and removed
everything that find had shown.
