Seeing as the issue was solved for two other people, I had another go -
this time explicitly installing all mutter-related packages from
-proposed (and not just 'mutter'):
$ aptitude upgrade libmutter-7-0 mutter mutter-common
Lo and behold, the socket showed up:
$ sudo ss -xlp | grep Xwayland
Other relevant info I forgot:
- xeyes runs fine
- sockets:
$ ss -xlp | grep Xwayland

This bug appears to be crashing nautilus every time I try to open a file
(by double clicking). As such, it is quite critical for me, as it
effectively rendered the machine with 18.04 beta impossible to work on.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

from my home folder, using this:

By mounting the encrypted home folder at /home/username/Private it lets

I'm also seeing this on 11.10 Oneiric x86_64. Using an encrypted home
partition, and I have filled the partition up on a few occasions.
However, the massive amounts of errors being logged in in my syslog and
kern.log have exceeded 2GB such that even my root partition was maxed
out today.

Upgraded to latest Maverick, even rebooted, but can't add Facebook
account.
I choose to add a Facebook account, press add, press Authorize, proceed
to enter my login info, press Aanmelden (sign in, it automatically
switches to Dutch). It shows Facebook authorized, but there is no save
button.
