As the fix ended up being my commit, I feel I should express my view on the
offered bounty. This is speaking solely for myself, not for my employer or
colleagues. Regardless of the firmware fix, I think it would be unethical of
me to accept any part of the bounty.
Chris (c.hu...@gmx.at) created a fix.
It's not working 100% and sometimes sound crashes or it contains vibrations,
but the basics work!
Here is his message from the mailing-list:
Hey
Here is my attempt to get sound working at hammerhead.
The files are not final and i haven't tested everything,
-card.conf'
5.) Modified the files 'HiFi' and 'VoiceCall'. Findreplaced
'apq8064tablasnd'
with
'msm8974taikomtpsnd'
I attached dmesg, logcat, syslog, amixer and alsa-info before I made the
changes (folder original) and after (folder modification).
Thank you for helping to fix.
Georg

I have an Acer V5-171 running Ubuntu 13.10 , kernel 3.11.0-14-generic
Solution #40 (setpci) works for me reading the card. Writing to card produces
errors.
What is the best place to run the command on startup?
Greetings,
Georg

BUt: The directory /var/run/speech-dispatcher/ does not exist on my
system! I think this might be the problem
