Doing fine till the end.
Got the Desktop display, but when I wanted to move my mouse, it was stuck on
the screen, completely frozen.
A- This is the case for 2 PCs both equiped with

OK, I'll try association next time, but I might be mistaken which would
bring people on the wrong lane.
To answer your question the mouse is PS2. An ordinary one: 3 buttons +

OK Peter, I'll do what you ask for, but before, here is the result of an
interesting test I did.
Reminder : KVM = Keyboard Video Mouse switch
KVM = PS2 plug
Mouse1 (faulty mouse) = USB plug
in between = USB/PS2 adaptor
What I did:
I replaced mouse 1 by mouse 2 (PS2 mouse)
connected directly to KV
Bingo Peter, after entering the 2 commands you gave me, it works.
By the way in order not to trouble the test, I rebooted after the trial
I did just before.
So I started with a frozen mouse, "jumping again on the screen" after

It affected both of my machines here, one an intel 32bit with nvidia
64mb card, the other AMD64 with 256mb card GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM).
Both use the nvidia drivers, this one is NVIDIA Linux x86_64 Kernel

work w/ a dapper version beyond 2.6.15.20 (20 is OK now and is the last

I just installed the released Edgy version 25-10-2006 on my Tosh. No
problem anymore, everything's fine now.

problem anymore, everything's fine now.

PS : what might have confused me is that the mouse is frozen during the
login period, but after login, it's still active

I found out on forums that I'm not the only one having this Pb.
When I initiate network from Edgy to Dapper for instance, I need to make
several refreshs before having the network icon and then the server
icon.
Firstly it looks like a file and when I press on it, it says
I'd like to add:
- impossible to access WXP PC
- impossible to access a windows partitions (which is shared) e.g.
pc5 = edgy
pc4 = dapper
I cannot access my personal data on a windows partition (fat32) in pc4
from pc5 thru the LAN
