it is not possible to launch the program from the Gnome desktop
The installer does not provide a pgmodeler.desktop file in
/usr/share/application
Maybe something like:

I installed the ppa and updated to the lastes nvidia driver, but
strangly the system is still using the old 295 driver, as can be seen
from attachment.
What is missing or wrong ?
nvidia settings shows that

driver (i use the swatx ppa)

under 12.04, I can confirm the Menu item disappearing, and also the preview
crash.
Unfortunately, uninstalling the lo-menubar, the HUD does NOT work in
LibreOffice.
This should be a great reason to FIX the problem...

I can confirm that the modification at msg 11, DOES fix the problem.
What is strange anyway, is that I met the first time this problem on a PC with
11.10 that was upgraded from 10.04.
In another PC, that had 11.10 installed from scratch, the problem dindn't
appear.

I'm testing it on 11.10.
I can see that on synaptic I can find libssl 1.0 and libssl 0.98.
If I try to uninstall libssl 0.98, the Digital key signature program (dike)
will be purged as well.
How did you uninstall __only___ the libssl 0.98 ?

I hope the fix will not be realized only for HP notebook.
The diff patch seems to check specifically for HP notebook.
