I confirm that I have this same problem. But the message replied to is
not quoted even if I select "Show HTML if present". It will quote if I
select the text manually then hit "Reply".

I just tried the beta 3 from Andreas' ppa, and so far so good. I have
opened and closed kile many times in different ways and it has not
crashed. Will report any future bad behavior, but currently it's
looking good. Thanks, Andreas

I confirm I get this on i386 architecture. I close kile down properly,
and several minutes later I get the crash message. Should I report this
as a separate bug, since it's not on amd64 architecture? Looks like the
same problem, though.

A bit more information: I found that when I opened a MS Word document
with Comments already in the document, Ooo worked with no problems or
crashes.
It seems to crash for me only when I try to save an odt document with
notes to a file in MS Word format.

Since an update about 2 weeks ago, whenever I run Software Updates I get

The updates all seem to go well, though.
Expected:
I confirm this as well. Very often it slows to a crawl, eating up all
the CPU cycles. This seems to be intermittent, but happens often. It's
really annoying, and did not do that before. Even the repainting of a
window takes several seconds. Definitely a show-stopper. May have to
drop kmail.

Zack's fix seems to have worked for me, too. I had to reboot, and then
is seemed fine. So it looks like if that one little change is made to
/usr/share/perl5/Finance/Quote/Yahoo/Base.pm we should be in good shape!
