Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bittorrent

i am using a compaq presario 2100, 2.0ghz celeron, dapper drake.
the standard bittorrent client, that came with breezy and comes with dapper,
now malfunctions in dapper.
frequently when downloading, suddenly gnome freezes up and all panels become
unresponsive as well as the keyboard. the mouse still works but only on open
applications, not on already open nautilus windows. since the keyboard and the
panels are out of order the only way to restart is to turn of the computer and
restart it. when restarting, grubb shows an error message along the lines of
"cannot find/mount file system", the boot fails and the only option is to
restart which brings the same message. the only thing that worked was waiting
about half a day and then trying to restart the computer, but when using the
bittorrent client, the problem would resurface.
i tried the bittornado client and i have not had any problems of that nature
since; it seems that there is something about the standard bittorrent client
that does not work.

** Affects: bittorrent (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
