"clocksource=jiffies" helped me
The only thing that could cause keyboard freezing is the high mid-spring
temperature. No recent software or hardware updates.
Configuration: Dell D830 laptop (Intel T8100, Quadro NVS 140M, Intel
3945ABG wifi controller), Debian squeeze :)

Have the same bug.
When I try to execute "vim ." (on a directory) or when i try use visual mode,
vim fails.
Also I've noticed that this happened only in "ru_RU.UTF-8", but not in POSIX
one.
