Basically you need to edit /lib/systemd/system/kimchi.service and change
Requires=libvirtd.service
After=libvirtd.service
To:
Requires=libvirt-bin.service
After=libvirt-bin.service
and edit
I had to get kill apt-get to get out of the install. When doing so I
found this process still running:
/bin/sh /var/lib/dpkg/info/kimchi.postinst configure

I had this same problem on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit. I upgraded from Ubuntu
14.04.5 if that matters.

I might have had the same problem as you, but i can't check any of the
log files because the computer isn't accessible to me anymore.
The problem i had when grub-install was being ran from the installer was
it was trying to install grub to /dev/sda which was the USB device i was
actually booting

I updated my kernel to 3.11.4 using this guide:

-released-upgrade-in-ubuntu/ But it doesn't seem to have fixed the
error.

Xubuntu 13.10 AMD64 Radeon 6850.
Editing grub and running 'sudo update-grub' actually breaks the ablility
to boot into Xubuntu for me. Grub shows up but when i select it i just
get a black screen.

I tried to use the "lightsnake" usb connecter for a guitar and it sees
the "USB Audio input 0" but when i record no waves seem to show up.
