@unnilenni: That's not what I'm seeing: I can ctrl+c and ctrl+v just
fine, I'm only seeing a crash after a ctrl+v without there ever having
been a ctrl+c (clipboard is empty, or non-existent, or undefined, or
whatever).
This issue still exists for me after having updated to

Did 5 test installations of lucid-desktop-amd64 (20100406.1) on one and
the same system: no problems booting into the installer, and all
installs completed successfully. Only once did the 'Sorry, the program
ubiquity-dm closed unexpectedly.' message show, but that installation
proceeded fine as
Robert's patch (post #22) works fine here too. No crashes on lucid
beta-2 (AMD64) when closing Quadrapassel, and no other complaints.
(Clean installs on 2 machines; Intel and AMD/ATI graphics.)

xserver crashes when closing application using clutter

I see this happening after a clean*, but fully upgraded, Lucid i386
beta-1 install: closing quadrapassel crashes X randomly. It's not even
necessary to start a game, just closing the application triggers the
crash. Doesn't matter if visual effects are on or off. I haven't seen
the crash when
I narrowed it down to libclutter-1.0-0_1.2.4-0ubuntu1 I think (and
perhaps libclutter-gtk-0.10-0_0.10.4-0ubuntu1). On a fully upgraded
system, downgrading to libclutter-1.0-0_1.0.6-0ubuntu1 (and libclutter-
gtk-0.10-0_0.10.2-0ubuntu2, else quadrapassel won't start) is enough to
make the X crash

I can't seem to get a backtrace (it just says No stack). Note that
triggering the bug sometimes takes a few tries, and on one occasion, the
correct password wouldn't be accepted anymore. Also, had one instance
that, after failing to input the correct

I see this happening on an Intel and an ATI/AMD machine:

- Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H with ATI HD4200, xserver-xorg-video-radeon driver.
There doesn't seem to be any clear pattern to triggering the bug:

move freely, but there's no interaction with anything. The pointer isn't
visible when moving it across gnome-terminal. Alt-SysRq-REISUB and
