I do agree that the bug tracker is biased towards people not in favor of this

Its hard to catch this bug, since it occures randomly. I am just an user, not a
developer, i am happy to report bugs, but its asked a bitch much to constantly

For some reason update-grub stopped writing changes to menu.lst so i ended up
with an old kernel and did not realize.
Deleting menu.lst and let update-grub recreate it fixed that Problem.
CPU Scaling works with current kernel, sry for reporting this "bug" prematurely.

It seems to be a gnome related Problem, under lxde for example it works.
When pressing alt+f2 gnome terminal shows following chars: ";3Q"
dmesg doenst show any related output.

Ah thats majorly annoying, no idea why one would change something like
