One of the reason i ditched Gnome in the past is this attitude from the
developers to impose their view on the final users and to not provide
even a configuration option for those not sharing their view.
It made me feel like an Apple
For some reason, i was unable to login at all (lightdm AND shell) with
this kernel.
With normal user, Lightdm got stuck in checking the password until i pressed
ESC.
Guest session was giving error about being unable to start the session
Shell login got stuck for a minute checking password and
bug still present in lubuntu 13.04
patched driver works in lubuntu 13.04

Also my card has 2MB(!) of video memory that makes useful to force depth
at 16bit in order to reach full screen 1024x768 otherwise it starts at
24 bit 800x600
