I've just verified the SRU. I installed language-pack-gnome-en
1:21.10+20210415ubuntu1 and r

you're using DHCPv6 or SLAAC, but maybe it's just me not getting
something right now.
If it's fine, then feel free to drop the patch and upload a NM with
adjusted regexes (preferrably committing to the VCS too).

No, they should be on "ubuntu" and that is Wayland if wayland works and
Xorg if it doesn't.
The problem is that changing the setting doesn't appear to have any
effect at least from what I can see. For example look at the screenshot
attached here.

Ah, thanks for the reminder.
I've checked the autopkgtest runs for 0.1.15-2ubuntu1~20.04.1 and
0.1.15-2ubuntu1 and didn't find any failures. It's as good as we can
get, I think, as outlined in the description.
I'll do the tags.

(20210420) with ubuntu-drivers-common 1:0.8.9.1.
The first boot is always xorg, and nvidia mode is selected.
After that reboots are *usually* wayland, but sometimes they are xorg
