When trying to update to 7.10 Gutsy from 7.04 Feisty, update-manager
complains that "Authentication failed", and exits. If running from the
console, I see this:
$ update-manager
extracting '/tmp/tmp9o6uHL/gutsy.tar.gz'
authenticate '/tmp/tmp9o6uHL/gutsy.tar.gz' against
'/tm
I renamed the links /usr/local/lib/libreadline.so.5.2 (link target:
/usr/local/lib/libreadline.so.5.2) and /usr/local/lib/libreadline.so
(link target: /usr/local/lib/libreadline.so.5.2), and now gpg does not
give that error, hence the update-manager works.
(I think the readline version in /usr/loc
