Same problem, but I do nt want to uninstall splashy as I have done my
own theme. Unselecting lsb-base from the update manager works. Only lsb-
base remains to be updated.

I can confirm that from 2.6.20-16-generic I have no access to the dvd burner
drive, neither as cd rom.
