I have just had a crash with the same message (same model laptop),
although suspend usually works without any problems. The system went
down for a normal suspend, then came back up again. I tried to suspend
again and the system hung (still running) with the little sleep light
blinking.

I resolved this issue by making the following changes as recommended on
thinkwiki:
/etc/acpi/suspend.d/10-thinkpad-standby-led.sh
* Add to the bottom of the file: /etc/init.d/powernowd stop
/etc/acpi/resume.d/90-thinkpad-unstandby-led.sh
* Add to the bottom of the file: /etc/init.d/powernowd
I have the same issue with blackdown java and facebook.com using AMD64
architecture and Feisty final.
