Same problem on Lucid with a fresh install on Asus 1201N. I found a
forum that suggested the addition of he usbcore.autosuspend=-1 to
grub. In fact it works if I had that option.

Machine won't
I also have this problem on an Asus 1201N. It happens only the second
time I try to suspend to RAM. I almost fried my computer because I
didn't check if it was correctly suspended.

I have Ubuntu 10.04. When I tested it didn't suspend at all and just
came back to the login Windows.
