I can confirm this bug with driver version 2:2.7.0-1ubuntu1~xup~1
One additional piece of information relating to this bug is that dual-
screen works if I stack the monitors on top of each other when setting
their relative positions.

One trend i've noticed with the i945 chipset problems, is that every
user seems to have a Dell. Could this be a unique problem to these
systems??
PS I also have a Dell+i945 + freezing problems.

Laptop failed to resume from suspend.
Connected via USB was one printer (KONICA MINOLTA PP1300W)
and an external hard-drive.
Not sure if those contributed to the failure.
When attempting to resume, a black screen with a blink cursor in the top
left corner is all that appear

I can confirm the exact same freeze symptoms (mouse that moves but
doesnt change when you hover it over different objects) when opening a
new tab in firefox (happens only sometimes).

I made it much easier to reproduce the bug now. I added more detailed
information, and included a screenshot as well.
(removing dropbox did not solve my problem).
