I have a Presario V6000 and I am also seeing this problem. Fan is on almost
constantly and the machine becomes unusably slow. Is there a work-around? It
looks like the boot options Brian has tried have either not cured this IRQ
issue, or have resulted in worse issues. I can't use this PC as it
