I am running Edgy on a Compaq Evo N610c with 256M memory and a p4. After
startup there are always 2 processes that are zombies, one is python and
the other is netstat. I cannot kill either one from the command line or
from the system monitor in gnome.

No Win
I had removed beryl and compiz a few weeks ago before upgrading. I
reinstalled through Synaptic yesterday and Metacity is running again
and my desktop has returned to its previous status. It is worth noting
that my system had hung a few times during the upgrade from the screen
saver kicking on and

appears, there is a Calibre process running after closing the error
message and terminal return to prompt, however there is no Calibre
window open, no icon in the status bar and attempts to connect to it's
server

Om uninstall of kdm while running in unity 2d environment display went
blank and had to ssh in to reboot. Switching to terminals using
Alt+Ctrl+F1-6 did not work. Upon reboot it reported this crash. As it

I did not have USBMOUNT installed, however I tried installing it, same issue,
uninstalled same issue. Tried to chmod the device as suggested and received
"Read-only file system" for every file on it. However, permissions on all files
state Read and Write access. fsck -a returned :

however I have no idea how to submit a patch as instructed, and the page

I added the ID and ran the build and install as directed on the help page.
Once the lirc daemon restarted I ran irw and the buttons matched the display
in the terminal.

This just happened to me as well.
After reboot however df -h showed the root partition initially with 12
GB free, then 10 minutes later root partition was full. 5 minutes later
it showed the root partition having 12 GB free again.

Also I should note that all PDF functionality through Document Viewer
was working fine under Maverick, did an upgrade to Natty in place of
clean installation.

If I close the folder in Gnome, and try to access it again, it is empty.
Once i rerun the command it is back to normal with all folders and files
accessible.
This problem is affecting me. Attempting to mount results in the message
that it is not a block device.

Is there any update on resolving this bug?
I plug in a USB player and the first time it mounts. Then after being
unmounted/ejected or just unplugged from the usb it will not remount
upon being reconnected. lsusb will not even show it there again until
teh machine is rebooted. Once rebooted it all
