I would note that KDE works wirelessly - its hidden networks causing the
problem - I broadcasted my SSID (still WPA protected) and it works fine.
Not perfect but feasible.

Kewl - I'm trying a package update as well as I only installed in the
ISO - nothing additional. May open a separate bug - tried the firefox
install but it just says all the packages are already installed -

over a hundred updates and counting - glad Im hardwired in - trying
those - I'm on an under powered eeepc but like the new KDE interface - I
have successfully run Jolicloud, Easypeasy, Xubuntu and UNBR all on
I exposed my SSID and it works now - didn't try it hidden though when I
had updated the initial install.

I have one ubuntu laptop (jaunty) and one windows vista computer, and
one iPhone, one Wii - all
So Kubuntu does not work with Hidden SSIDs?
