of the process I was alerted that my upgrade did not succeed. However, I

Thanks - whatever the cause was, by deleting /usr/share/icons/*/icon-
theme.cache, the problem went away.
I can now open the file viewer (place -> Home) and edit properties of
existing launches.

Whenever I open any any "Places", such as "Home Folder", etc, nautilus crashes.
This has been happening from the beginning, a clean install from ISO.

I am using Ubuntu Lucid (fresh installation) in my computer with ATI
Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] graphics card and two monitors.
Right after the installation was completed I found that two monitors
were showing the exact same screen. Other than this everything

I can confirm same problem in my Janunty box and fixed it in the same
way. One interesting thing is that I have 10 identical machines running
Jaunty. Only the machines I have updated packages, from Internet after
installation by synaptic, shows this problem. But the machines that I
have the default
