Binary package hint: puppet
Most error messages in the beginning of a puppet run are replaced with
"undefined method `closed?' for nil:NilClass". It should display the
real error message instead of that error.

Partial Workaround:
ethtool says that the card is MDI-X instead of MDI. Typing "ethtool -s eth0
autoneg off" fixes the problem until next reboot. I do need to restart
"networking" and "network-manager" to get a ip afterwords though.

What about making the "puppet" (the package) not start puppet (the service) by
default. Then create a package that depends on puppet called puppet-client
that does everything the client option should do? I install p
1) I upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10.
2) I checked for new updates with Synaptic Package Manager.
3) It found 3 and I installed them.
4) During the update or right afterword, Synaptic Package Manager crashed.
