I'd like this bug sorted before 14.04 simply because Xubuntu is such a
nice small fast OS for older laptops, given the EOL of Windows XP. Users
from Windows will expect Save As PDF,
Any file created in Abiword when Save As PDF is invoked causes Abiword
to crash, so I've attached the simplest one that I was using to test
Abiword when the crash report attached was produced.

Work around: PDFs can be produced using the File | Print dialog and
selecting Print to File and ensuring that the PDF option is checked.
On my system, ODT export works fine without crashing. I shall test other
file formats as time allows.

Hello all
Work around: install gdm and set as session manager. I can then get a
fully functional Gnome Shell in precise 12.04 as updated to todays state
(Gnome Shell version 3.2.2.1-0ubuntu1).

I can see this bug when using a wifi dongle (Netgear WG111v3, default
drivers) on my desktop PC.
3 wifi connections visible, after one hour, top shows nm-applet res use

I've just joined this ancient bug as I am seeing this behaviour for the
first time with LibreOffice 3.5.0beta2 in precise after the 13/2/2012
update (UK time zone). Behaviour is seen with Unity session (compiz) and
with Gnome Classic session (metacity). I do not see this in 11.10 at

I have a USB thumb drive that has a read only CD partition containing
some promotional material for a local company and a 1 Gb Fat32 partition
that is both read/write.
When inserting the drive into a computer running Xubuntu 11.04, both
partitions on the drive are recognised
Same problem in Xubuntu; have checked this morning after updates, and
Seamonkey still not launching windows when clicking on menu entry.
My workround is to use the 2.0.14 binary package from mozilla for now
with a manual .desktop file in ~/.local/share
