I know this is an old bug but I have the same issue with a new ASRock
Z97 Extreme 6 with an i7 4790S. I've reviewed the linked bugzilla
report from post #8 and the *fix* to use 'intel_iommu=on,igfx_off' does
indeed allow audio to resume but breaks IOMMU as in I can no long pass
through my Nvidia G

Booting with the option noapic, and EFI disabled. After 30 minutes I was
able to login into the computer using tty1. The Graphical iterface
didn't work.
With the dmesg command I was able to validate the issue:

I can confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of
Ubuntu.

PC (Intel x86) computers (standard download)
Could this reported bug in Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS be the same here?

It appears that this bug manifests if the connection was not in
fullscreen mode when it was last closed, which may explain why some
connections appear to be bad while others appear to be fine.
Workaround to get full screen mode working consistently:
1. Ensure "Remember last view mode for each conn

colord crashed
I seriously doubt its a hardware problem, if this is the solution then
why is Windows (which also runs on this netbook) still running like
sunshine, never had any issues with it.
I know how to install Ubuntu and I can take the time to fix issues but
if this is your final answer I am gonna trow Ubu
