Same problem here. Bring down server and nautilus hangs on client. Looked
into the bookmarks fix, I don't even have bookmarks for NFS folders.

I don't think this will ever be fixed. it's not a bug, just a design flaw.

There is a temp fix for this: edit gconf key
/desktop/gnome/background/primary_color to a 6 digit instead of a 12
digit. There is also a patch that will perm fix this mentioned here:

include this patch into firefox and all
this was the same case for me on gutsy with ff 2.0.0.14, still the same
on Hardy with ff rc1

i made a directory in my /usr/lib to contain a nightly build of firefox.
wehn i cd to that dir and type firefox to run it, it runs the default
firefox in my path. i have to actaully make a link with the dir's i
want to run the right one. did that make any sense?
