I have this issue and have found that tagtool also has the same problem,
so I guess there is a shared library somewhere his has an issue!

My main issue has been after suspend, I have a workaround for this at the
moment which is to create a file in /etc/pm/sleep.d to reinsert the
snd_hda_intel module.
Its been working well so far...

After downloading a purchased album (SLOWLY.. but thats another bug!)
from the Music store there should be a link within the Ubuntu One folder
so I can see the files.
The files are downloaded to /home//.local/share/ubuntuo

I had the same and thought there was an issue, but it seems the app launches to
high and so title bar is off screen.

I ran the alsa data collection script and noticed pulseaudio had somehow got
back onto my system.

This time I purged autofs first.
I kept the delivered version of auto.master and added my one line to it (the
difference from my previous attempt was not to remove the +auto.master line).
Restarted and the mount umounted after the def

Tried it but no joy.
I put my pc into a 3 minute cycle of shutdown, then acpi wakeup after 2 mins.
It seems to be ok for the first 2 restarts but seems to be 'reasonably'

After posting here I decided it was about time I put some effort into sorting
this.
First step was to read the alsa config docs, which showed there is another mac
hardware option > model=intel-mac-auto
Updated this into my modprobe.d file (which now reads: options snd-hda-intel

I am using an Intel Mac Mini, which, for over a year, never had these
problems running Fedora, and I have been having this problem for the
past two months now (using Mythbuntu) so I guess there is something in
Ubuntu which has caused it.

I think I am seeing this bug in the ubuntu eee 8.04.1 edition.
Surely this is fixed now?
Wireless works fine apart from wpa2 which gets a timeout from wpa_supplicant.
I have switched to wpa on my network now as a workaround and this is fine.
