Experiencing the same. It freezes during auto-completion once boost header
files are included.
Backtrace from gdb (attached) shows there is huge recursion before segmentation
fault is detected.

Same here. I think problem is with access rights. Many of new staff
downloads needs to be extracted to /usr, but there is no kdesu dialog.
In my case, only downloads which are extracted to my profile are
working. Others are marked as installed, but downloaded archive is not
extracted ...

I have this problems also with Intel 965GM (X3100). I can enable
effects manually, but they are hardly usable. Even when blur is
disabled, it is slow and it flickers when redrawing panel and whole
desktop (changing virtual desktop, present windows, desktop grid effects
are affected).

enable it using plasmoid (in maverick) but it wont work (it wont show
any possible connections except saved connections). Restarting KDED

This is probably related to some iwl3945 problems reported upstream. In
my case, it is unable to configure network IP address using DHCP. You
should see some messages in system log. Also you can try static IP
configuration.
If you are not using Intel 3945 wifi, ignore my hint and provide your HW
Unloading module thinkpad_acpi from kernel (modprobe -r thinkpad_acpi)
fixes this problem = sleep button works, but many other are not
functional.
Can it be bug in thinkpad_acpi? Because I am kubuntu user (with R61i),
so I dont think this bug is related to gnome powermanager.

After first attempt to relog, desktop starts, but it is in some safe
mode, becase there are no composite effects, and I cannot enable them.

events. I found out, that Fn+F4 event is received only one time per 60

Plasma widget Adjustable
Lucid switched to plasma-widget-networkmanagement, so use plasmoid to
control network interfaces. Only one of this frontend can be used at one
time and default is noww plasmoid.
If you do not want to use plasmoid, you have to stop KDED
Networkmanagement module and restart knetworkmanager.

Can you make sure you are not running any other network-manager front-
end? For example check, if you have only one knetworkmanager running,
also check, if there is not running service called EXPERIMENTAL
NetworkManager user
Try command nm-tool, it should show some networkmanager
Just tested self-compiled version 0.3.2 of libdbusmenu-qt and it fixed
this problem.

It depends on used desktop enviroment. GNOME developers replaced
obsolete HAL deamon with newer alternatives (udisks,upower). It looks
like, that this is at this time not possible in KDE enviroment. I have
somewhere read there are some things in HAL, that are not easy to
replace.

HAL. This dependency does not mean, that HAL must by loaded during boot
- it will be loaded when it will be needed (probably KDE startup).

Same problem here on i686 install. Workaround is to use dolphin with
root privileges (kdesu dolphin). Also privileged dolphin prints out some
unspecified error when mounting, but mount is successful.
