Ok.. I just tried to download the source from the vinagre home page and
only 2.24 is listed on there. Where should I look for the 2.26 source?
Will the 2.26 source even work with hardy or does it have intrepid
/jaunty-related dependencies?

Though I've noticed an interesting development: the bug is only present
when using a clipboard manager such as glipper.
Ubuntu doesn't have a native clipboard manager so something like glipper
needs to be used. Without glipper, if you copy something from a program
such as firefox,

occasionally crashing on startup. It's 100% reliable
Wouldn't know - I got sick of all the crashes (it wasn't just mimenu) so
i backed up my home dir and did a clean 8.04 install since I never had
any issues with 8.04.

Yesterday I updated to Intrepid Ibex 8.10 alpha 5 (from Hardy Heron 8.04
LTS) and ever since there's this very peculiar quirk.
During boot up, you know how there's two phases during which you see the
Ubuntu screen with the progress bar - in the first phase the progress
