i get an error message when i try to open synaptic also : E: Encountered a
section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/apt/lists/jm.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_jaunty-updates_main_binary-i386_Packages
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.
ok i went into the software sources and i switched to the main server so it
works now i don't understand why i cannot download from the jamaican server.
should i switch back or will i be fine with the main server?
